xTool P3 vs P2S: which should I buy?
Wattage decides it. The P3 at 80W cuts thicker material in fewer passes, which matters if cutting is your production bottleneck. The P2S at 55W engraves essentially as well and cuts more slowly, and saves you around $3,100. If you are running a business where throughput on thick acrylic is the constraint, the P3 pays for itself. Otherwise it does not.
Do I need external ventilation for a laser cutter?
Yes.
